Richard "Vinci" Nicolaides is a raccoon whose life (and death) story has been covered in several arcs.
Life[]
Vinci is a friendly, flirtatious raccoon whose partner Artisan Sunspot has supported during his life. Vinci suffered from chronic health issues, including cancer, and Arty was with him during tough times. He had issues with his homophobic nurse Jeremy Campbell but they eventually got along. Vinci recovered from his illness and he and Arty continued to grow their family.
Vinci and Arty were present for Joann and Jeremy's wedding and remained friends of theirs.
Later in life, after Artisan passed away, Vinci had a breakdown, and in a fit of depression, killed himself.
After Life[]
For the sin of suicide, Vinci ended up in Hell, where as part of his punishment he was unable to remember anyone from his life on Earth. When his partner Artisan, who had since became an angel after dying, tried to approach him, Vinci attacked Arty. He then struck a deal with Drip to bring Arty to him, but when his memory returned, he instead helped his partner.
Even though he was made aware of his sins and had his memories restored to him, Vinci chose to remain in Hell a bit longer to assist other lost souls and those that like him remained in Hell to help others like Lita and Silver Blue. The events of Vinci's time in Hell are covered during the Side Arcs by Candy Dewalt.
Rebirth[]
Vinci was reborn, and had a happy life as a teacher with a niece Luchessa and other relatives but spent his whole life thinking of angels, hoping to fly with them one die. This incarnation eventually died of cancer when he was elderly, seemingly never having a lasting relationship in his life.
Second Afterlife[]
After Vinci died a second time, he was welcomed to Heaven by Arty and he joined the ranks of the angels, continuing to work with Arty and help those in Hell who are in need.
